The 2016 summer bootcamp urban innovation has been serious fun! Big thanks to our partners, speakers and participants from among others: Gemeente Rotterdam, Gemeente Leiden, Provincie Zuid-Holland, Metropoolregio Rotterdam Den Haag, Deloitte, Era Contour & Havenbedrijf Rotterdam.
These are the days of start-ups, business accelerators and innovation hubs. And although the potential of public / private involvement in this is great, co-creating strategies is often difficult. The real ecosystems for innovation require a comprehensive approach, integrating urban development, regional strengths, venture capital, education and more. But all together taking the future as reference is easier said than done.
In this five day Boot Camp ‘Urban Innovation’ you will make these ecosystems tangible, building upon the Roadmap Next Economy. Key experts will inspire you with state of the art perspectives on entrepreneurship, circularity, real estate and so much more. Focus point is the Stadshavens area of Rotterdam, a place where all these social, economical and physical potentials are coming together.
It is your challenge to develop a comprehensive strategy for making Stadshavens a focal area in new ways of working & learning, industrial symbiosis and exciting living environments. The Rotterdam Innovation District proposition is there – but what’s next?
urban and regional economy, industrial symbiosis, public-private innovation, real estate, entrepreneurship, city branding.
